The Air Elite Jet Card is Simple to Use
Who provides the aircraft used in the Air Elite program?
- Aircraft for Air Elite Jet Cardholders come from Delta Private Jets’ fleet of owned and managed aircraft as well as from Delta Private Jets’ network of approved affiliate operators. Approved affiliates must have a signed agreement with Delta Private Jets as well as hold an ARG/US Platinum or Gold safety rating and pass an ARG/US TripCheq before every flight. ARG/US is a worldwide leader in performing on-site safety audits for corporate flight departments, charter operators, and commercial airlines.
Is the Air Elite Jet Card refundable?
- In order to provide access to the unparalled benefits and competitive rates of the Air Elite Jet Card, the Member’s deposit is not refundable.
Does the deposit expire?
- The Air Elite Jet Card has a two year term, during which your hourly rates are locked. After two years from the effective date on the Cardholder’s agreement the deposit will expire. However, the Air Elite Jet Card may also be replenished at anytime.
What is the amount required to replenish my deposit?
- Your deposit in the Air Elite program may be replenished at anytime with a $100,000 addition to your account which will be added to any current balance. This will reset your card for up to an additional two years and lock in the aircraft hourly rates in effect at that time.
Does the Cardholder pay for fuel?
- The hourly rates include a fuel cost component, thus there is no additional fuel cost once the Cardholder joins the program. In the event that the cost of fuel increases during the term of your contract you will not be charged for an increase. Your hourly rate will stay the same.
Who do I call to book private flights?
- To book a private flight we welcome you to call your dedicated concierge team at the Air Elite Jet Card Desk. Please be sure to have the following information to reserve an aircraft: departure city, arrival city, dates, take-off or arrival times, and names of passengers. Member Services will request any additional information that they may need.
Who do I call to book commercial flights?
- To make a reservation for a scheduled flight on Delta Air Lines you can call your dedicated client services representative at the Air Elite Jet Card Desk.
Do I earn SkyMiles on private flights?
- Cardholders will receive SkyMiles equivalent to the amount required to book two premium tickets for travel throughout the continental U.S., Canada, and Alaska when they purchase or renew the Air Elite Jet Card program. SkyMiles are not awarded on a trip-by-trip basis when flying privately. All SkyMiles program rules apply to SkyMiles program membership, miles, offers, mile accrual, mile redemption, and travel benefits. To review the rules, please visit delta.com.
Do I earn SkyMiles on commercial flights?
- When flying on a commercial flight with Delta Air Lines you will continue to earn SkyMiles as specified in the SkyMiles program guidelines.
How many passengers does Delta Private Jets guarantee in each category?

Delta Private Jets guarantees the following number of passengers in each aircraft category:
Light Jet – six passengers
Midsize Jet – seven passengers
Large Jet – eight passengers
Please be aware of possible constraints on the ability of aircraft to carry excessive luggage. If you would like to bring luggage such as skis, golf bags, firearms, etc. please notify your Air Elite Jet Card representative at the time the trip is scheduled.
Is taxi time added?
- Cardholders are billed for time when they occupying the aircraft from wheels up to wheels down. There will also be six minutes added for taxi on take-off and six minutes added for taxi on landing. This is a standard adjustment even if actual taxi time is longer than six minutes.
Can I fly internationally with the Air Elite Jet Card?
- Yes, the Air Elite Jet Card provides service both inside and outside of U.S. borders. Cardholders may fly within the continental United States and 225 miles off of those borders at their standard rate. In the event that a Cardholder wishes to fly further than 225 miles beyond the U.S. borders, Delta Private Jets will guarantee aircraft availability; however flights will be billed at the applicable international hourly rate for the aircraft selected by the cardholder.
Are there international fees when traveling to destinations outside the United States?
- Trips that arrive at or depart to locations outside of the United States are subject to international fees instead of U.S. Federal Excise Tax (FET). Because FET is already in the hourly cost the dollar amount of FET will be applied toward any international fees that are being charged by the foreign government. In most cases however, the amount being charged for FET in the hourly rate does not cover the international fees. The remaining balance of the international fees will be deducted from the Cardholder’s deposit.
What is the cancellation policy?
- Trips must be cancelled 10 hours prior to take-off in order to avoid a cancellation fee. In the event that a trip is cancelled inside the 10-hour window, Delta Private Jets will charge a cancellation fee that is equal to the estimated flight time of the trip that was cancelled plus any fees incurred. For international travel, the required cancellation notice is 48 hours and for Peak Days, the required cancellation notice is 120 hours.
Will Air Elite Jet Cardholders be able to schedule the use of multiple aircraft on the same day?
- Yes, Cardholders may schedule multiple aircraft on the same day. Availability to multiple aircraft will be guaranteed on all days except Peak Days.
Does Delta Private Jets provide catering or ground transportation?
- Catering and ground transportation are examples of typical incidental items. Incidentals can be arranged at the time of booking by your Cardholder representative. These charges are deducted from your deposit and reflected on your monthly statement. There will be a 10% administrative fee added to the cost of the incidental items arranged by Delta Private Jets.

Am I covered by a Delta insurance policy?
- When flying a trip under the Air Elite Jet Card program, you and your passengers are listed as additionally insured on Delta Private Jets’ liability insurance policy.
Does the Air Elite Jet Card have Peak Days?
- Yes. There are ten days a year that are considered “Peak Days”. These are dates around periods of increased flight volume that require additional notice. Examples of Peak Days include, but are not limited to, Thanksgiving, New Years, and Spring Break/President’s Day Weekend. The Air Elite Jet Card program allows you to “opt-in” or “opt-out” of guaranteed availability for peak day travel. Members who opt-in will receive guaranteed availability on Peak Days with 120 hour prior notice. In addition, Members who opt-in for guaranteed availability will pay the Peak Day hourly rate for the aircraft category chosen by the member. Members who opt-out of Peak Day travel will be allowed to book trips to fly on a Peak Day; however these trips will be accommodated on an “as available” basis. Members who opt-out will be charged the normal hourly rate if Delta Private Jets is able to accommodate the flight. In all cases, Delta Private Jets may delay or accelerate the departure time on a Peak Day by up to three hours.
