CINCINNATI, August 13, 2002 -- Delta AirElite Business Jets is expanding service options for customers by adding two Challenger 604s to its fleet of charter aircraft through a charter management agreement. The aircraft are based at the MBS International Airport in Freeland, Mich.
With a charter fleet capacity of more than 250 business jets strategically positioned throughout the United States, Delta AirElite is adding aircraft through charter management agreements to help meet growing demand for exclusive charter service. Management agreements allow Delta AirElite to increase aircraft availability without large capital commitments and to offer on-demand charter service with a broad base of high-quality corporate jets. The agreements also enable Delta AirElite to offer an attractive option for corporations wanting to lower aircraft ownership costs by having their corporate jets certified for Delta AirElite's commercial charter operations.
"Adding two more Challenger 604s to Delta AirElite's fleet enhances our ability to meet the needs of customers who want the efficiency and comfort of custom charter service without the details and expense of ownership,'' said Michael B. Green, president and chief executive officer of Delta AirElite Business Jets. "The customer comfort and performance capabilities of two additional Challenge 604s are a perfect complement to our existing fleet."
Offering the widest passenger cabin of any true corporate jet, the Challenger 604 is known for its spacious stand-up cabin and passenger amenities. The aircraft also offers intercontinental capability with a range of 4,600 miles.
Customers also have the added advantage of Delta AirElite's Rewards Program (airelite.com/rewards), which gives them the opportunity to earn Medallion status in the Delta SkyMiles program by accumulating flight segment credits on Delta AirElite.
