CINCINNATI, June 19, 2003 -- Delta AirElite Business Jets is offering founding members in its Fleet Membership Program the advantages of Platinum Medallion status in the Delta Air Lines SkyMiles program. By enrolling at any Fleet Membership level no later than Sept. 30, 2003, Founding Members in the Delta AirElite Fleet Membership Program will be entitled to the many benefits of Platinum Medallion status. Medallion status for Founding Members will remain valid through Feb. 28, 2005.
The Delta AirElite Fleet Membership Program requires no aircraft ownership. Members may select a Fleet Member level based on their travel needs and utilization (Silver Level for 25 hours, Gold Level for 50 hours, and Platinum Level for 100 hours) combined with the member's preference of a light, midsize or large-cabin jet. Founding members in the Delta AirElite Fleet Membership Program will enjoy the full privileges of Platinum Medallion status when traveling on Delta Air Lines. The wide range of benefits conferred by Platinum Medallion status include complimentary Crown Room access, unlimited complimentary 500-mile segment upgrades in 2003, inflight VIP travel assistance, priority wait-listing, special check-in privileges, and preferred seating and boarding.
"Whether they prefer traveling by business jet to the West Coast or on a Delta 777 to Europe, our members can choose the highest levels of service, comfort and convenience," said Michael B. Green, president and chief executive officer, Delta AirElite Business Jets. "Offering Delta SkyMiles Platinum Medallion status to our founding members allows us to reward their confidence in the value provided by our services."
Delta AirElite Fleet Members may choose to fly all their hours as one-way flights. For two-way flights, the Delta AirElite Efficiency Bonus™ is a unique advantage of the program. It allows members to increase their flight hours up to 40 percent at no additional cost when flying two-way trips, making membership even more cost-effective.
