Special Promotion Waives Fee for Membership Balance Assurance Program
CINCINNATI, Aug. 2, 2004 – Delta AirElite announced today that for a limited time, all new and renewing Fleet Membership and Flexjet Membership members will be offered the Membership Balance Assurance (MBA) program at no cost. This special promotion is yet another benefit that Delta AirElite can offer jet card users.
“We’ve always offered our members the option of enrolling in the MBA program when they purchase their membership,” said Michael B. Green, president and chief executive officer of Delta AirElite Business Jets. “This program, which gives our members the added benefit of knowing their membership balance is secure, has proven to be very popular. Since all jet card programs require their members to pre-pay, we’re offering this benefit free of charge to prospective and renewing members to reinforce the AirElite difference.”
Delta AirElite offers the MBA program in partnership with The Provident Bank. As members purchase their card, their membership balance is placed in a Provident Bank escrow account. As the membership hours are used, funds to cover the flight charges are released to Delta AirElite to cover each respective trip. This guarantees that the balance of the member’s investment is always secure.
As a leading provider of private jet travel solutions, Delta AirElite offers a unique blend of travel options for its customers. The company introduced its Fleet Membership program in February 2003. Fleet Membership offers 25, 50 and 100 hours of occupied flight time in the member's choice of a light, midsize or large cabin jet. The hours never expire and members have an option to exit the program at any time.
Flexjet Membership, introduced in October 2003, is a strategic partnership with Bombardier Flexjet, and allows members to purchase 25 hours in a specific type aircraft: Learjet 31A, Learjet 45, Learjet 60, or Challenger 604. Both membership programs offer travelers the service levels they expect with fractional ownership, but with the flexibility and cost advantages of charter.
Delta AirElite Business Jets is a wholly owned subsidiary of Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL), providing aircraft charter, aircraft management, and its innovative Fleet Membership Programs. Delta AirElite is celebrating its 20th year of serving business aviation travelers. The company operates a diverse fleet of Bombardier Challenger, Learjet, Gulfstream and Cessna Aircraft.
