Special certification allows customers to reach expanded choice of destinations
CINCINNATI, Sept. 15, 2004 – Delta AirElite recently announced it has received FAA approval to fly under the revised operating procedures for FAR Part 135. These revised regulations require additional safety and crewmember qualifications and must be applied for and granted by the FAA.
To operate under the new “eligible on-demand operator regulations”, commercial charter operators must meet higher crew training qualifications, crew pairing limitations and increased crew minimum qualifications. All elements of compliance are designed to enhance safety levels. Additionally, Delta AirElite has developed an approved destination airport analysis program (DAAP), which will enable the company to serve hundreds of additional airports throughout the US.

The new regulations offer those charter operators that can comply, the same operating flexibility as fractional operators. This greatly increases Delta AirElite’s capabilities both as an on-demand charter operator as well as for its jet membership programs.
